hese Measurement Specialties digital accel-erometers are complete, easy-to-use, user-configurable sensors containing one to three accelerometers, a tempera¬ture sensor, signal processor, RS-485 interface and three analog outputs in a small, easy-to-install package. No data acquisition system is required; data is streamed directly to a PC.
Accelerometers - Board Level / OEM
805 Accelerometer
The Model 805 is a miniature adhesive mount IEPE accelerometer built on a 3-pin TO-5 header. It is available in ±50g and ±500g dynamic ranges and offers a flat frequency response to 15kHz.
805M1 Accelerometer
The Model 805M1 is a miniature adhesive mount voltage output accelerometer built on a 3-pin TO-5 header. It is available in ±20g and ±200g dynamic ranges and offers a flat frequency response to 12kHz.

Encoders - Magnetic Encoders
ED-17 Serial Output Magnetic Encoder
The ED-17 magnetic encoder is an absolute encoder with 9-bit resolution. The device can be easily mounted onto an existing shaft. The serial output provides absolute angular position information even when power is cycled.
ED-18 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-18 Series magnetic encoder can be used as either a rotational feedback sensor or as a human machine interface (HMI) device. As a light duty feedback sensor it can provide rotation speed, direction or positioning information. The analog output provides absolute angular position information even when power is cycled on and off. As an HMI device it can be used as a rotary input control for use on instrumentation panels.
ED-19 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-19 Series magnetic encoder is designed for medium duty feedback applications. Resolutions are available from 64 to 1024 counts per revolution. The magnetic technology used in the ED-19 series is plug-in compatible with existing encoder products, with the added advantages of an extended temperature range and fully sealed electronics. The ED-19 suffers no LED degradation, meaning it has a virtually unlimited life.
ED-20 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-20 Series magnetic encoder is designed for medium duty industrial feedback applications with ball bearing supported shaft. Resolutions are available from 200 to 1024 counts per revolution. This encoder series also features line drivers with active termination for long cable runs and reverse voltage protection. The ED-20 also offers the option of high voltage differential, low voltage differential or open collector (NPN) outputs.
ED-21 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-21 Series magnetic encoder is designed to replace traditional mechanical potentiometers. This product is offered with a ball bearing supported shaft. Five standard output ranges are available: 0.5 - 4.5v, 0 - 5v, 0 - 12v, 4 - 20mA and 0 - 20mA. The magnetic technology used in the ED-21 offers advantages over conventional electromechanical potentiometers with sealed electronics, extended temperature ranges, and virtually unlimited life.
ED-22 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-22 Series magnetic potentiometer can be used to replace a conventional potentiometer. This product offers 270 degrees of electrical travel, integrated rotational stop system, 300 degrees of mechanical travel, utilizing a sleeve bearing and shaft fitted with an O-ring seal. The non-contact magnetic sensor design utilized in the ED-22 is well suited for industrial applications with temperature extremes, high vibration and shock, and contamination.
ED32i TTL Linear Encoder
The ED32i is a linear incremental encoder based on the well established magnetoresistive sensor technology. Air gaps up to 2mm are possible between scale and the read head. The special arrangement of the used AMR sensors allows a resolution in the area of a few micrometers in combination with high travel speeds.

ED-30 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-30 series incremental linear position sensors are designed for demanding OEM applications requiring low cost linear position feedback. The ED-30 series sensor provides resolutions from 0.08mm down to 0.02mm. Designed to operate in manufacturing environments, the sensor is unaffected by dust, dirt, oil and changing ambient light conditions.

KMA36 Universal Magnetic Encoder
This system-on-chip combines a magneto resistive element along with analog to digital converter and signal processing in a standard small package. The KMA36 is able to determine contactless the magnetic angle of an external magnet over 360°, as well as the incremental position on a magnetic pole strip with 5 mm pole length.

MLS Magnetic Length Sensor
Sliding the MLS Sensors along a magnetic scale will produce a sine and a cosine output signal as a function of the position. In order to deliver satisfying results, this will be achieved as long as the air gap between sensor edge and magnetic scale surface does not exceed half of the pole pitch.

MS32 Switching Sensor
The MS32 is a magnetic field sensor which is built in the form of a Wheatstone bridge. Each of its four resistors is made from Permalloy, a material that shows the anisotropic magneto resistance effect. An uni-directional magnetic field in the surface parallel to the chip (x-y plane) along the y-axis will deliver a field dependent output signal.

Piezo Polymer Coaxial Cable
Piezo cable is another form for piezo polymer sensors. Designed as a coax cable, the piezo polymer is the "dielectric" between the center core and the outer braid. When the cable is compressed or stretched, a charge or voltage is generated proportional to the stress.

CM-01B Contact Microphone
The CM-01B Contact Microphone uses sensitive but robust PVDF piezo film combined with a low-noise electronic preamplifier to provide a unique sound or vibration pickup with buffered output.
DT Series
The DT Series of piezo film sensors elements are rectangular elements of piezo film with silver ink screen printed electrodes. They are available in a variety of different sizes and thicknesses.

FDT Series
The FDT Series of piezo film sensors elements are rectangle elements of piezo film with silver ink screen printed electrodes, and flexible leads attached. The piezo polymer tail extends from the active sensor area as flex circuit material with offset traces.
LDT Series
The LDT series has a 0.005" (125µm) polyester layer is laminated to a 28 µm or 52µm piezo film element. When used in a 'bending' mode, laminated film elements develop much higher voltage output when flexed than a non-laminated DT elements series.
LDT1-028K with Lead Attachments
The LDT1-028K is a multi-purpose, piezoelectric sensor for detecting physical phenomena such as vibration or impact. The piezo film element is laminate to a sheet of polyester (Mylar), and produces a useable electrical signal output when forces are applied to the sensing area.
MiniSense 100
The MiniSense 100 is a low cost cantilever-type vibration sensor loaded by a mass to offer high sensitivity at low frequencies. It has excellent linearity and dynamic range, and may be used for detecting either continuous vibration or impacts.

The LDTC MiniSense 100 Analog PCB provides a simple way to evaluate the LDTC MiniSense 100. The unit consists of LDTC MiniSense 100, a low-power operation amplifier, comparator, and DC/DC converter, and passive components used in signal conditioning.

SDT Series
SDT1 piezo film sensors consist of a rectangular element of piezo film together with a molded plastic housing and 18" of coaxial cable. The film element, screen printed with silver ink, is folded over on itself, given a self-shielding of the transducer area.

Solid State Switches
Piezo film's capabilities to generate a high voltage output under bending strain, combined with its rugged form factor, make it an ideal candidate for solid state impact switches. Rather than using a switch contact closure, the piezo film generates a pulse which is detected by electronics.

50 Pressure Sensor
The Model 50 is a piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor packaged in a T0-5 configuration. This is offered in a nickel can without a tube. Absolute pressure ranges from 0-5psi to 0-500psi are available. The pressure media is applied to the circuit side of the chip. This design is intended for non-corrosive gases and is not recommended for liquids.
Ares Pressure Sensor
The ARES Series is a small, low cost pressure transducer which is able to measure pressures as low as 0 to 5 inches of water, 0 to 10" of water, 0 to 15" of water, and 0 to 1 psi. Sensitivity to extremely low pressures and small size make this device ideally suited for HVAC, medical equipment, and flow monitoring applications. The GA100 series has a 4V span from 0.50V to 4.50V and the GA200 series has a 3.75V span from 0.25V to 4.00V.

LM Liquid Level Pressure Transducer
The LM Series incorporates stainless steel and plastic isolation suitable for level sensing in water, other liquid and gas. It uses a stainless steel sensor in a PVC plastic fitting, and provides an output of .5V to 4.5V with a 5V supply. Available in 0 - 1 up to 0 - 150 PSIG ranges.

89-series Pressure Sensor
The 89 series is a small profile, media compatible, piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor packaged in a 316L stainless steel housing featuring 5/16-32 UNEF threads and can be welded in place. The U86B is a small profile pressure sensor packaged in a 316L stainless steel housing and is designed for o-ring mounting. It is designed for high performance, low pressure applications. A custom ASIC is used for temperature compensation, offset correction, and provides an amplified output of 0.5 to 4.5V.

D5100 Differential Pressure Transducer
The D5100 series from Measurement Specialties sets the price and performance standard for differential pressure transducers used in demanding environments. The amplified model of the D5100 series exceeds the latest heavy industrial CE requirements including surge protection and reverse polarity protection. The transducers have two pressure ports for high and low pressures and all wetted parts are made of 316L stainless steel. It comes in a variety of electrical configurations and ranges from 1 to 500 psi (up to 35 Bar).
EB100 High Accuracy Miniature Pressure Transducer
The EB100 pressure transducer is the smallest design proposed by MEAS from the UltraStable™ line. The EB100 sets a new price / performance standard for demanding commercial and heavy industrial applications where high accuracy, small size and low weight are desirable.
LM Liquid Level Pressure Transducer
The LM Series incorporates stainless steel and plastic isolation suitable for level sensing in water, other liquid and gas. It uses a stainless steel sensor in a PVC plastic fitting, and provides an output of .5V to 4.5V with a 5V supply. Available in 0 - 1 up to 0 - 150 PSIG ranges.
M5100 MicroFused Pressure Transducer

Available in ranges from 0 - 100 up to 0 - 500 PSIG.
MSP300 MicroFused Pressure Transducer
The MSP300 is suitable for measurement of liquid or gas pressure, even for difficult media such as contaminated water, steam, and mildly corrosive fluids. The transducer pressure cavity is machined from a solid piece of 17-4 PH stainless steel. It is geared to the OEM customer using medium to high volumes. Available in ranges from 0 - 100 up to 0 - 10,000 PSIG.
MSP340 MicroFused Pressure Transducer
The MSP340 is similar to the MSP300, but features a smaller body diameter. Available in ranges from 0 - 50 up to 0 - 10,000 PSIG.

Rotary Position Sensors - Magnetic Encoder
ED-17 Serial Output Magnetic Encoder
The ED-17 magnetic encoder is an absolute encoder with 9-bit resolution. The device can be easily mounted onto an existing shaft. The serial output provides absolute angular position information even when power is cycled.
ED-18 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-18 Series magnetic encoder can be used as either a rotational feedback sensor or as a human machine interface (HMI) device. As a light duty feedback sensor it can provide rotation speed, direction or positioning information. The analog output provides absolute angular position information even when power is cycled on and off. As an HMI device it can be used as a rotary input control for use on instrumentation panels.
ED-19 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-19 Series magnetic encoder is designed for medium duty feedback applications. Resolutions are available from 64 to 1024 counts per revolution. The magnetic technology used in the ED-19 series is plug-in compatible with existing encoder products, with the added advantages of an extended temperature range and fully sealed electronics. The ED-19 suffers no LED degradation, meaning it has a virtually unlimited life.
ED-20 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-20 Series magnetic encoder is designed for medium duty industrial feedback applications with ball bearing supported shaft. Resolutions are available from 200 to 1024 counts per revolution. This encoder series also features line drivers with active termination for long cable runs and reverse voltage protection. The ED-20 also offers the option of high voltage differential, low voltage differential or open collector (NPN) outputs.
ED-21 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-21 Series magnetic encoder is designed to replace traditional mechanical potentiometers. This product is offered with a ball bearing supported shaft. Five standard output ranges are available: 0.5 - 4.5v, 0 - 5v, 0 - 12v, 4 - 20mA and 0 - 20mA. The magnetic technology used in the ED-21 offers advantages over conventional electromechanical potentiometers with sealed electronics, extended temperature ranges, and virtually unlimited life.
ED-22 Magnetic Encoder
The ED-22 Series magnetic potentiometer can be used to replace a conventional potentiometer. This product offers 270 degrees of electrical travel, integrated rotational stop system, 300 degrees of mechanical travel, utilizing a sleeve bearing and shaft fitted with an O-ring seal. The non-contact magnetic sensor design utilized in the ED-22 is well suited for industrial applications with temperature extremes, high vibration and shock, and contamination.
Rotary Position Sensors - Magneto Resistive
KMA36 Universal Magnetic Encoder
This system-on-chip combines a magneto resistive element along with analog to digital converter and signal processing in a standard small package. The KMA36 is able to determine contactless the magnetic angle of an external magnet over 360°, as well as the incremental position on a magnetic pole strip with 5 mm pole length.
KMT32B Magnetic Angle Sensor
The KMT32B is a magnetic field sensor based on the anisotropic magneto resistance effect, i.e. it is sensing the magnetic field direction independently on the magnetic field strength for applied field strengths H>25 kA/m. The sensor contains two parallel supplied Wheatstone bridges, which enclose a sensitive angle of 45 degrees.
KMT36H 360° Angular Sensor
The KMT36H is a magnetic field sensor that contains three Wheatstone bridges rotated by 120°. A rotating magnetic field (strength typ. 25 kA/m in the sensor plane) will result in three sinusoidal output signals with a period of 180°, phase shifted by 60° field angle.
MLS Magnetic Length Sensor
Sliding the MLS Sensors along a magnetic scale will produce a sine and a cosine output signal as a function of the position. In order to deliver satisfying results, this will be achieved as long as the air gap between sensor edge and magnetic scale surface does not exceed half of the pole pitch.

TSYS01 Digital Temperature Sensor
The TSYS01 is a single chip, versatile, new technology temperature sensor. The TSYS01 provides factory calibrated temperature information. It includes a temperature sensing chip and a 24 bit ?S-ADC. The essence of the digital 24 bit temperature value and the internal factory set calibration values lead to highly accurate temperature information accompanied by high measurement resolution.

25E2 Dual Axis Inclinometer
The 25/E2-Series is a biaxial inclination sensor as a PCB Module for OEM use with measurement range +/-25°. It consists of dual basic inclination sensor cells based on a conductance measurement principle and their complete electronic biasing and readout, which is carefully designed in order to minimize drift and temperature effects.
DOG2 MEMS-Series Dual Axis Inclinometer
A fast response time and good accuracy makes this device the ideal choice for mobile leveling applications. It features digital signal processing including temperature compensation. The integrated filter improves performance and allows to use the sensor in many noisy environments (e.g. vibrations).
E-Series Inclinometer
The E-Series consists of a single axis tilt sensor integrated with a thick film hybrid circuit for signal processing. Multiple connecting leads are available to support a variety of applications. Available in ranges ±5° and ±15°.
E2 Dual Axis Inclinometer
